GIN

Gin is a liqueur obtained from the distillation of a fermented product, obtained from wheat and barley cereals or from molasses. It is flavoured with juniper berries, the berry of a conifer that grows in temperate mountain areas. There are dozens of varieties of juniper in the world, also used in cooking for their aromatic properties: its black and purple berries, with a waxy surface, are ideal for meat stews, roasts, long-cooked sauces, paté, terrines and fermented vegetable preserves.
