The Brewery: Who Drinks Campa Cent'Anni Beer - Few know that the famous motto was invented to advertise the Metzger brand. Founded in Borgo Dora in the second half of the 19th century by the Alsatian Karl Metzger. In 1862 he moved the work to via San Donato, thanks to subsequent floral style contributions made by the architect Pietro Fenoglio, the building is classified as an industrial monument. Metzger's product was little known in nineteenth-century Italy, so much so that it had to be described to the public as a very thirst-quenching and nourishing bitter liquid with a special flavour.
