Pairings: At the table it loves important dishes, red meats, including stewed ones, and well-matured cheeses.

The Cellar: It was 1930 when Carlo Annibale Cravanzola founded his company in Castellinaldo d'Alba to cultivate vineyards and produce wine. Even then he understood that this was above all a precious wine land. There are also other crops, especially orchards, but they are complementary. Today, after almost ninety years, the new generations continue the same work with just as much passion, with one eye on the territory and another on the market of the entire world. The cellar spaces, large and technically equipped, occupy the work environments of the Cascina Schiavenza, located in the upper village of the town. Even the vineyards, the great heritage of the company, are in Castellinaldo d'Alba, scattered here and there on various hills, but always cultivated with rigor and enthusiasm. In relation to their location they reveal different production vocations, capable of producing grapes every year and wines with well-defined, precious and original characters. In Campiano, the Cravanzola vineyards are oriented to the west; here the Arneis and Nebbiolo vines prevail. On the opposite side, rises the majestic hill of San Pietro, a long and steep slope, where mainly the Nebbiolo, Barbera and even Arneis and Favorita plants live. Finally, climbing towards the north-east beyond the town centre, there is the large hill of Bricco del Conte which reserves the sunniest slopes for the Barbera, Nebbiolo and Favorita vines.
