The Distillery: The first Nonino distillery was founded by Orazio Nonino in Ronchi di Percoto, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, in 1897. In 1973 Benito Nonino, descendant of the founder, together with his wife Giannola created single vine grappa by distilling the grape pomace Picolit. Subsequently, the management of the company passed to their three daughters, Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta. The sixth generation is represented in the company by Francesca Nonino. Since 1975 you have promoted and organized the Nonino Prize, intended for personalities who have distinguished themselves in enhancing peasant culture and civilization.
