Vino Nobile Riserva Sotto Casa DOCG - Boscarelli
Boscarelli's "Sotto Casa" Riserva is a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG that the winery began producing in 2011 as a natural evolution of the Riserva, further finely harmonizing the elegance, character, and freshness brought by the blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The main difference from the "classic" Riserva is that in "Sotto Casa," the grapes for all three varietals come from a single parcel, a truly exceptional cru. Fermentation and aging take place separately in wood of different capacities and origins, and the maturation process lasts 28-32 months. This wine has excellent aging potential and represents the pinnacle of quality in Boscarelli's entire range.

The Winery: Boscarelli is a small, historic family-run winery, a symbol for the entire Montepulciano area, the first to believe in the potential of an area so close to Montalcino. We are located approximately 300 meters above sea level, near the Valdichiana, in a terroir where the microclimate is particularly suited to producing quality wines. The winery is run by the grandchildren of the legendary Egidio Corradi, who founded the company in 1962. Among the vineyards, which extend over approximately 14 hectares, Sangiovese is the predominant grape variety, with several clones. We also find other native varieties such as Mammolo Canaiolo and Colorino, along with renowned international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The quality of all our wines is exceptional, reflecting impeccable work and a constant pursuit of maximizing the expression of the different terroirs. The harvest phase varies depending on the ripeness of each grape, and in the cellar, the individual varieties ferment separately, as does the ripening phase. This philosophy requires a lot of work, but it allows us to express the deepest character of each parcel.
