The Distillery: This rice vodka comes from the southernmost tropical island of Okinawa and is meticulously crafted from the traditional Japanese spirit Awamori, indigenous and unique to the island. Produced from a crop of long-grain indica rice that is inoculated with kōji black, fermented and then distilled into the Awamori spirit. This spirit is then redistilled into pure rice spirit. Triple distilled in total, using traditional stills and produced in small batches. Ukiyo Rice Vodka is exceptionally clean, smooth and subtly sweet. The delicate flowers combine with delicate citrus and violets to make it ideal for sipping or pairing with East Asian food.
