A bottle that presents an excellent range of aromas, both on the nose and on the palate, combined with a marked drinkability: this is what you discover when sipping the Sauternes of Château Rieussec, the result of a careful and rigorous selection of grapes aimed at guarantee, year after year, a constant and high standard of quality. In the cellar the wine ferments and ages in barriques, 50% new, for a period varying between 16 and 26 months before being bottled. An elegant and fine 1er Cru, whose aromas on the nose transport us with great skill into one of the most fascinating territories in the entire Bordeaux area.

Tasting Notes: Golden yellow in color in the glass, it is intense in the olfactory sphere with notes of peach, honey, almond, flowers and spices. Harmonious and persistent when tasted, where the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the acidic and savory component. Superb.
Pairings: It goes beautifully with foie gras, with a selection of mature cheeses and at the end of the meal, paired with small pastries.
The Cellar: Château Rieussec, located on the border of the municipalities of Fargues and Sauternes, is, with its 93 hectares of vineyards, one of the largest production companies in the entire area renowned for the production of Sauternes. Built in 1700 by Carmelite monks and classified as Premier Cru in 1855, the property has had a rather troubled history over the centuries: passed from hand to hand between various families, in 1984 it was purchased by the Barons Rothschild, one of the most important companies linked to the world of wine, already owner of the famous Château Lafite. Since then the new ownership has adopted draconian measures to say the least to bring the quality level back to the pinnacle of excellence, focusing on a very strict selection in the vineyard, aimed at reducing quantity in favor of greater quality. Today at Château Rieussec the three symbolic vines of Sauternes, sémillion, sauvignon and muscadelle, are cultivated, carefully following traditional techniques, both in the vineyard and in the cellar: the result of this commitment leads to the creation of rich, deep and dense wines, which conquer and they fascinate from the first sip, thanks to the great variety of organoleptic characteristics expressed in the glass.
