Rum Elixir del Caribe - Cubaney
 
Generous and persistent, it owes its character to the skilful aging in oak barrels. Its harmonious balance is due to the happy union of its components: a formidable aged rum and the fragrant Pedro Ximenez grapes. Unlike some rums that are used to create cocktails, Cubaney Dominican rum must be tasted strictly straight, so as to be able to savor and fully enjoy all the aromas that it is able to release. Like all self-respecting rums, Cubaney rum must be drunk in small sips, in order to capture all its flavors and aromas.

Tasting Notes: Complex and aromatic aromas, with fruity notes of ripe grapes. Sweet and persistent taste, reminiscent of black licorice. On the palate it is sweet and caressing.
 
Distillery: The history of Cubaney rum has its roots in the early 19th century, when the family patriarch Don Juanillo Oliver dedicated himself to the production of rum, after a life spent processing tobacco, sugar cane and its derivatives. The Cubaney rum he produced was immediately successful and over the years, from generation to generation, it was confirmed as one of the best rums in the world. Unfortunately, things came to an abrupt end when his descendants had to leave Cuba in 1959. Only 30 years later, one of them managed to return and resume the tradition that now seemed lost. The production of Cubaney rum was moved to the Dominican Republic and today remains a point of reference for rum enthusiasts from all over the world.
