Rum Gold - Blue Mauritius
 
The bottle design and name are reminiscent of the most expensive and rarest stamp. Made from local sugarcane molasses, it is stored for a year in tanks with slatted pieces of wood from port wine barrels from South Africa.

Tasting Notes: Bouquet with hints of wood, leather, dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut. Creamy, sweet flavor, caramel, vanilla, orange, toasted nuts, grapes, tropical red fruits. Long lasting finish, wood, grape.
 
Distillery: Production dates back to 2012, when Blue Mauritius Gold was first created. Blue Mauritius is made from the finest sugar cane rum, distilled on the island of Mauritius. The molasses is matured for 36 hours before distillation, the 95% white alcohol is then reduced to 60% and blended before being placed in port cask vats giving it natural flavors and eliminating the bitter taste of aged alcohol. The process takes less than a year and the color is stabilized. It is important to note that steeping, blending and processing are done in small quantities and all flavors are kept as pure as possible. Over time you may find small deposits, this is the result of the natural ingredients used during the mixing process. No homogenization or other chemical processes are used, keeping the product as natural as possible. After about a year of aging, the precious liquid is poured into heavy French glass and closed with a wooden stopper and transparent seal. The leather necklace added after the bottling process serves to absorb the drops from each serving, keeping the bottle clean and prolonging the delicious aroma. To complete the process, quick hands take care of the finished bottles, and the bottles are cleaned and packed in special thick cartons. Particular attention is paid to each step.
