The finest Rums from Barbados and the Republic of Guyana are carefully selected and expertly assembled, giving rise to very particular organoleptic flavours. After an initial aging period of at least 5 years, carried out in the Caribbean, the Rum is transferred to Williams & Humbert, where it ages for another 5 years in barrels that have previously contained the best Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry. This is how Ron Dos Maderas PX 5+5 Years Old was born: it is a great spirit, not easily described in words. It's worth tasting.

Tasting Notes: The color is reminiscent of amber tones, with penetrating and deep nuances. On the nose it has hints of vanilla and fruit that predominate over everything. In the mouth it is warm and full, with flavors that explicitly recall raisins and dried figs. It is velvety, with a long and pleasant finish.

The Distillery: With almost 140 years of history behind it, Bodega Williams & Humbert was founded in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams. The Bodegas Williamas & Humbert facilities, believed to be the largest in Europe, are made up of a complex of buildings connected to each other which occupy an area of approximately 180,000 square metres. Bodegas products combine tradition and savoir-faire acquired over the centuries and expressed by the quality of its prestigious labels. The cellar still preserves wines and brandies dating back to the time of its foundation and has obtained the National Architecture Award. The company-owned vineyards are located in the triangle formed by Jerez de la Frontera, Puerto di Santa Maria and Sanlucar di Barrameda, an area that enjoys a particular and favorable microclimate due to the presence of the Guadalquivir and Guadalete rivers. On the global scene, Williams & Humbert is developing an ambitious program of diversification in the high-quality agri-food sector. The Rum Dos Maderas which are made and partially aged in the Caribbean, before being transferred to Jerez where they finish maturing.
