Ribolla Gialla IGT - Roncus
The Yellow Ribolla This Roncus winery's wine is produced from grapes grown organically in the Capriva del Friuli and Moraro vineyards. After a brief 4-hour maceration, the must ferments with indigenous yeasts at 22°C, completing malolactic fermentation. It ages in steel barrels on its own lees for 6 months.

The Winery: Our history is deeply rooted in the past (Roncùs is the ancient name for these low, wild, hilly lands), but our goals look directly to the future, with the sole aim of creating long-lived wines that fully express this terroir. Within the property, the hectares of vineyards are clustered into small plots: crus with unique and specific microclimates and terroirs, where the landscape changes gradually, enriching the wines and making them a genuine expression of the terroir. The marly soil lends minerality and flavor, while the diverse aromas reflect the grassy vineyards with spontaneous flora, including wild hops and butcher's broom, chives and chamomile. Among the vines, it is the older ones that best tell our story: we manage them all organically with minimal, essential treatments such as copper and sulfur. In the cellar, our work is done on tiptoe: it is a finishing touch and careful to enhance, without damaging, the precious harvest of the hand-picked, fully ripe grapes.
