Pouilly Fume La Rambarde AOC - Landrat Guyollot
The word Rambarde is a local term, which indicates the flat-bottomed boats once used to transport wines from Pouilly to Paris, through the canal that connects the Loire to the Seine. Today the Pouilly-Fumé La Rambarde from Domaine Landrat-Guyollot wants to recall past eras, but it also wants to be a young and immediately pleasant wine. Left to mature in steel tanks on the fine lees, it is excellent for accompanying fish-based menus, starting from the aperitif up to the second courses.

The citrus fruits return in the mouth, where the wine is fresh but balanced until the end.
Pairings: Wine throughout the meal, it is excellent to pair with river or lake fish. Perfect with grilled trout.
The Cellar: Some historical documents demonstrate that Domaine Landrat-Guyollot was active as early as the 17th century, under the name Domaine Chatelain. Thanks to the ability to sell its wines in Paris, entrepreneurially exploiting the new river channels opened in that period, the winery quickly became one of the best known in the Loire. However, it was at the end of the 19th century that the absence of male heirs pushed the Chatelain sisters to change the name of the company, using the surnames of their respective husbands, Landrat and Guyollot. What has remained unchanged, however, and which still has not changed today, are the wines. Now as in the past, from the vineyards of Pouilly on the right bank of the Loire, located about 200 km south of Paris, excellent and pure, natural and genuine grapes are harvested. In all its actions, from cultivation to sale, the domaine enhances each parcel, thanks also to a winemaking process that takes into account the specificities of each territory. In this way the purest aromas are assembled, and in each label there is a constant search for balance and complexity, which leads to obtaining superb wines, finely authentic and of great class.
