Muscat Alsace Ottonel - Domaine Gruss & Fils
All the vineyards cultivated by Joseph Gruss's winery are organically farmed, avoiding the use of pesticides. Grass is grown in alternate rows, and the vineyard uses home-grown compost as fertilizer. This results in natural and authentic wines, like this Alsace Muscat Ottonel. Vinified in old oak barrels, it is designed to be enjoyed young, making it ideal as an aperitif.

The Winery: The Gruss family has been producing quality wines since 1790. We are in Alsace, a region that, both culturally and oenologically, shares many characteristics with Germany. Harvesting is done by hand, and vinification is carried out in old oak barrels. The end result is the fruit of a careful interpretation of the terroir and faithful to tradition. Among the vines, the agronomic standards adhere to organic farming, which means no chemicals are used; instead, grassing is practiced and only organic fertilizers are used. Fully respecting the balance of nature, the environment, and the ecosystem, we harvest pure, high-quality grapes, concentrated in every organoleptic nuance. In the winery, everything is aimed at respecting this primary objective, maximizing the unique characteristics that the season and terroir have been able to express in the grapes.
