Marsanne Ermitage Blanc De l'Oree AOC Biodynamic Agriculture - M Chapoutier
M. Chapoutier's astonishing Ermitage Blanc AOC De L'Orée is made from pure Marsanne grapes. The grapes, rigorously selected and hand-picked, come from a unique vineyard where the vines average 60 years old, and the winery is certified organic and biodynamic. After cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place, partly in wood and partly in stainless steel. Maturation in wooden barrels on the lees precedes bottling. Simply sensational, it stands the test of time as only great white wines can.

Tasting Notes: Bright golden yellow. Intense and rich on the nose, opening with notes of lemon and cedar, followed by aromas of acacia and hawthorn, toffee, delicate spices, and chalk. Warm, full-bodied, and enveloping on the palate, it brightens and expands over the long palate thanks to its pronounced freshness and mineral flavor, culminating in a toasted and elegantly spicy finish.
Pairings: A special white, to pair with fine lobster, prawns with foie gras and chicken in Banyuls sauce.
