Lagrein Riserva Griesfeld Sudtirol Alto Adige DOC - Pfitscher
 
Pfitscher's Lagrein DOC comes from the Griesfeld vineyard, a plot located about three hundred meters above sea level not far from the small village of Montagna. Vinified in steel at a controlled temperature and left to mature for about eight months in small oak barrels, it is a red from Alto Adige of great balance and pleasantness, punctual in expressing the characteristics of the varietal but also and above all that typical Alpine character that distinguishes the production of Pfitscher and more generally of mountain wines.

Tasting Notes: In the glass it announces itself with a purple-red color. The aromas that engage the nose reveal floral touches, enriched with hints of berries. It enters the mouth with a full and round sip, in which the workmanship of the soft and velvety tannins is appreciated.
 
Pairings: Throughout the meal, it goes perfectly with stuffed pasta, pasta with meat sauce and medium-aged cheeses. Always balanced with large meat and game dishes.
 
The Cellar: Winemakers by passion: this is how we could summarize the spirit that animates the Pfitschers, a South Tyrolean family that deals with viticulture with tireless commitment and total dedication. We are in Montagna, just south of Bolzano, in Alto Adige. The Pfitscher family cellar is, in fact, certified "CasaClima Wine", a seal that evaluates the environmental compatibility of the building, the living comfort, the consumption of energy and water in the production of wines, from the choice of packaging to the impact of their transportation. Currently, there are approximately seven hectares of vineyards managed by the winery, which can boast some of the best plots in the entire southern area of Alto Agide. Between the rows, the management of the plants is conventional, but the main objective is never lost sight of: reducing any artificial intervention to a minimum, in order to harvest pure, concentrated and natural grapes.
