Japanese Blended Whisky - Fuyu

Japanese blended whiskey - Fuyu

A blended Japanese whisky based on malts and cereals from the distilleries of the Japanese island of Honshu. This is Japan's main island and home to most of Japan's whiskey distilleries. The word Fuyu in Japanese means winter, and it is precisely this season that inspires this exclusive whisky. It comes from a mixture of distillates, 50% malt and 50% wheat. Its peculiarity, however, is aging. In this case, in fact, a double passage is foreseen. First in American white oak barrels and then, for refinement, in Mizunara barrels, a fine Japanese oak, for a period of 6 months.

Distillery: Japanese Blended Whisky Fuyu is a Japanese blended whiskey designed and produced for BBC Spirits, a wine and spirits distribution company from Bordeaux in France. There is very little information about it, so as to maintain a certain degree of mystery, leaving the rest of the discovery to the label and the tasting experience. What is certain is that the whiskeys selected to create this blended come from different distilleries on the island of Honshu, the main island of Japan where eight production distilleries are located. The label is certainly very evocative with a representation of the era.
