The Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Finlaggan Old Reserve is a Single Malt produced and bottled exclusively by The Secret Islay distillery. It is absolutely to be sipped together with jams and smoked cheeses.

Tasting Notes: Intense golden yellow with coppery reflections. On the nose it is very fruity, with aromas of nuts and chocolate. In the mouth it is full-bodied and elegant, recalls the aromas of chocolate perceived by the sense of smell and is characterized by slightly smoky tones.
 
The Distillery: With the aim of creating a selection of Scottish malt whiskeys produced in the best distilleries on the island, in the early 1990s Mr. Brian Crook founded "The Vintage Malt Whisky Company" VMWC, a company thanks to which all the Importers around the world can easily source the finest Scottish spirits in order to redistribute them for retail sale. Until about a century ago there were well over 120 distilleries in Scotland, mostly family-run, currently there are only 17 or 18 distilleries that still produce malt whiskey following traditional processes, and of these distilleries very few are family-owned . The remaining companies are, in fact, controlled by multinational companies. In this scenario, VMWC has taken on the important role of being the guarantor of the small family-run distilleries, which still today produce the most original and authentic Scottish whiskies. This approach has led VMWC to expand its market, exporting up to five million bottles of whiskey to twenty different countries, and making the rarest and most sought-after Scottish whiskeys known to the world. Thanks to their vast and widespread knowledge of the Scotch Whisky and Vintage Malt industry, "The Vintage Malt Whisky Company" manages to select the best spirits, thus offering its customers a range of Whiskeys which includes the most excellent labels from the Highlands and the island of Islay.
