Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Release No2 46 Year Old - Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond Distillery's Remarkable Stills Series contains some of the oldest and rarest spirits ever developed by the distillery. The Loch Lomond 46 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is the second in the Remarkable Stills series. The whiskey is aged for 44 years in American oak barrels. Next, it is finished for two years in a combination of first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. This is a bottling limited to 200 bottles.

Tasting Notes: Bright amber color. Fruity, sweet scent with notes of toffee, caramelized sugar, rose, peach, mango, vanilla syrup. Fresh, rich taste, flavors of ripe pears, fresh orange peel, melted brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, sultanas, sultanas. Long lasting finish.
The Distillery: At the northern end of Loch Lomond, near Tarbet, the first Loch Lomond Distillery was founded in 1814. The current distillery was founded in 1965 by the former owners of the Littlemill Distillery, a few kilometers from Glasgow. The responsibility for the distillery lies with Master Blender Michael Henry. Michael grew up near two distilleries and therefore developed a passion for distilling and whiskey production from an early age. Since 2014 he has been the Master Blender of the Loch Lomond Distillery.
