Grand Armagnac Napoleon - Maison Janneau
Armagnac is a blend of the Baco and Ugni Blanc varieties. The growing areas are the Bas-Armagnac and Armagnac-Ténarèze regions. The distillates are aged for 10 to 12 years before being bottled.
Type: Armagnac
Origin: France
Alcohol Content: 40%
Format: 70cl with case
Tasting Notes: Intense aromas of plums and vanilla on the nose, with a light hint of crushed mint leaves. Napoleon Armagnac is smooth and balanced on the palate, fruity with plums, vanilla, and stone, and a long, spicy finish.
The Distillery: Maison Janneau, founded by Pierre Etienne Janneau in 1851 in Condom, Armagnac. Its history is the tale of four generations who have passed down the secret of Grand Armagnac from father to son. One of the few producers to continue distilling and aging its products in its region of origin, it is today one of the most important Armagnac producers.
