Gin Rye - Kyro
 
A Gin that comes from a base of rye distillate to which 16 dry botanical elements and 4 distillates are added. The origin of the "botanicals" is purely local, and among these the meadowsweet, sea buckthorn, wild cranberry and birch leaf stand out. Tasting Notes: Totally colorless to the eye. On the nose there are marked aromas of juniper, accompanied by sensations that recall the taste of genepì and balsamic aromas of pine. When tasted, it is striking for its spicy profile and aromatic sip, with an excellent persistent finish.

The Distillery: The Kyrö Distillery Company is a production company born from five Finnish friends, all passionate about whiskey made from the distillation of rye. One day, in one of the typical Finnish saunas, the five decided to start the distillery in the small village of Isokyrö, inside a former dairy farm. We are in 2014 and since then, in the space of a few years characterized by an initial phase of renovation of the building, the distillery has begun to start a quality production, which has already managed to establish itself with its labels in some competitions international caliber. The main product used by the Kyrö Distillery Company is rye, an ingredient that is truly fundamental for the Finns: just think that the population consumes on average six times more than the world average, and the most representative food of the entire country is rye bread! As quality raw materials we must also include the water of the nearby Kyrö river - frozen for several months of the year - and the local "botanicals", researched and selected within the large Finnish forests for the production of the various Kyrö branded Gins.
