Gin Handcrafted VICE - Aqva Luce
Distilled in two 100-liter copper stills dating back to World War II, Aqvaluce is made from 12 botanicals, the main ones being juniper, cumin, bay leaves, hops, caraway, and coriander. Its aromas and flavors are enhanced and refined over time, thanks to over two years of recipe refinement and the use of fresh herbs that are pre-infused for over 15 days. Cumin, hops, and bay leaves are distilled using the low-boil technique to enhance their aromatic expression: an olfactory explosion that ranges from juniper to fresh mountain herbs.
Type: Gin
Origin: Italy
Alcohol Content: 47%
Format: 70cl
Tasting Notes: Clear in color, with a light straw hue. On the nose, a delicate note of juniper emerges, enriched by balsamic notes and then spicy notes of laurel and cumin. On the palate, it is dry but not pungent, with well-balanced, herbaceous notes.
Cocktails: We've tried several Gin and Tonics and can say that Aqva Lvce Gin is pleasant both in more citrusy solutions and in spicy drinks and we recommend you try it!
The Distillery: The Distilleria dell'Alpe was founded in 1947 by Ferruccio di Bernard, a winemaker from Carpineto, an area known for its Prosecco di Conegliano. The stills from the 1940s are still there. The copper pot still, using a double boiler, has an extremely high extraction capacity and is therefore excellent for experimenting with new spirits.
