 It was 2013 when the iconic Lesley Gracie, master distiller of the Girvan Distillery, went to the Venezuelan Amazon rainforest to learn about the native flora. She stayed there for three weeks, hosted by a local tribe who introduced her to the rare plants and fruits found only in this pristine part of the world: right from the   Hendrick's Amazonia Gin is born from the native flora of this jungle. The starting point, as always, is the classic Hendrick's, that signature cucumber and rose flavor now famous throughout the world, but this time with added tropical essences, which transport the taster to the mysterious and exotic flavors of the Amazon.  Tasting Notes: Colorless and crystalline, the nose blends exotic nuances of tropical fruit with green, fresh notes of cucumber, complemented by the ever-present juniper and delicate floral nuances. The palate is soft, rounded, and enveloping, surprising for the abundance of aromatic returns that characterize its very long finish, which reveals the tropical nuances perceived on the nose.

 Cocktails: Hendrick's Amazonia Gin can be enjoyed in a variety of cocktail variations, such as the classic Gin and Tonic enriched with lime wedges and a splash of tonic water, or served simply over ice and a squeeze of fresh lime juice to further enhance its unique flavors.

 The Distillery: From the vast experience of Scottish distillers comes Hendrick's Gin. While certainly not the usual gin production site, Hendrick's distillery has embraced the challenge, focusing primarily on tradition and quality. Distillation takes place using very old stills, both Carter-head and Bennet, to maximize the aromas of its botanicals. The essence recipe includes the addition of Bulgarian rose petals and locally grown cucumbers. Hendrick's is produced in very small batches of 450 liters, allowing for maximum control over all the characteristics and achieving the highest possible quality. The attention to detail is evident even in the details, such as the closure, which is made of cork rather than a classic screw cap.
