The Distillery: Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a self-employed distiller from the Val di Villé, in Alsace. He paved the way for Eugène, his son, who would soon earn great fame by distilling, for the first time, the wild raspberry, which would become the Queen of Sweden's favorite. In the second half of the 20th century there was a real impetus for the distillery: Massenez brandies found a place in famous Parisian bistros and even in large starry houses; they were exported to New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo and served at the Elysée and at the Cannes festival. Always uncompromising on quality, Massenez is now known throughout the world for its spirits, such as Framboise Sauvage and Poire Williams; seeing its value regularly recognized in international competitions, the Maison was rewarded for all its efforts by receiving the World Quality Oscar in 1980. The master distillers of Maison Massenez have always used cherries, plums, raspberries and pears as if they were colors for their brandies and liqueurs; giving each product vividness, intensity and character. Symbol of a certain lifestyle, Massenez spirits combine quality and originality.
