Dry Gin Single Batch No. 07 - Cross Keys Gin
The first was the famous Herbal Bitter Riga Black Balsam—an alchemical experiment from 1752 with a still-secret recipe—and the latest is Cross Keys Gin. The gin was made by the same master distiller who now blends Balsam, and takes its name from the "crossed keys"—an ancient symbol of the city's hospitality and part of Riga's heraldry. Botanicals: rosemary, juniper, chamomile, linden blossom.
Type: Gin
Origin: Latvia
Alcohol Content: 41%
Format: 70cl
Tasting Notes: Light in color. Rich, sweet aromas of wildflowers, juniper, and rosemary. Juicy flavors of birch buds, hints of mint, and spices such as black pepper and cloves. Long-lasting finish. Enjoy neat or with tonic.
Distillery: Between the lush Lithuanian marshes and the rocky Estonian islands lies the crown jewel of the eastern Baltic coast: Riga, the capital of Latvia. This city has nurtured all manner of rebels since time immemorial: it was the cradle of the Reformation, a center of revolutionaries, and a homeland of anarchists. Riga's history has also inspired unique and rebellious beverages.
