Central Otago Early Harvest Gin - Scapegrace
Scapegrace Central Otago Early Harvest is a gin made with botanicals harvested in Central Otago in the period between October and January. Botanicals such as nectarine, lavender, smoked hay and pollen are used and added to the classics used to produce the classic Dry version.
Type: Gin
Origin: New Zealand
Alcohol content: 40.8%
Format: 70cl
Tasting Notes: Bright and crystalline color. On the nose it is fresh and floral, with a prevalence of stone fruit and the classic juniper. Ideal for complex mixing. On the palate a strong hint of nectarine introduces tasty pollen followed by citrus and coriander which ends mid-palate. The floral scents are very delicate. Clean and refined finish; savory structured by lavender and juniper.
Cocktail: Excellent in a gin and tonic or a White Negroni with a grapefruit peel and an olive garnish.
The Distillery: Processing is still carried out today by hand and in small batches, with accurate distillation processes in traditional stills, guaranteeing absolute levels of quality. The use of crystalline water from the springs of the New Zealand mountains, filtered through the rocks, which makes it particularly light, also contributes to the expressive purity of the Gin. Born in the wilds of New Zealand. The Rogue Society Distilling distillery is located near Auckland and produces Gin. It is a bottle that surprises and intrigues, not only for its color, but also for its shape, which recalls the style of the ancient bottles used in Holland to market Genever, a true ancestor of modern Gin.
