Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Ciacci Piccolomini D'Aragona

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Ciacci Piccolomini D'Aragona

It is a wonderful Brunello but, probably, drinking it today would almost mean committing infanticide. Its peculiar current characteristics tell us that it will last in the cellar for many years. The problem is how long you will be able to resist without uncorking it. The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is a wine that undergoes maturation in Slavonian oak barrels for approximately three years.

The Cellar: The Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona estate, in Montalcino, boasts a long history that originates in the 17th century. The company, now owned by Paolo and Lucia Bianchini, owns over fifty hectares of vineyards, which are located near the Orcia river, excellently exposed to the south-west, at an altitude that varies between 240 and 360 meters above sea level. of the sea. The great attention paid to the production of grapes is the result of an ancient peasant tradition, which combines with increasingly updated and cutting-edge agronomic methods and techniques. Among the rows, Sangiovese Grosso obviously dominates, a specific biotype of Sangiovese exclusive to Montalcino, which in the case of the vineyards of the Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona estate grows on soils highly suited to viticulture, and is grown with full respect for the environment and ecosystem , resulting in simply exceptional grapes.
