GRAPPA & EAU DE VIE

This distillate was born in the twelfth century thanks to alchemists, who discovered the technique of distilling grape marc for medical and curative purposes.
Grappa is a pomace distillate , made from grapes grown, vinified, and distilled exclusively in Italy or Italian-speaking Switzerland . The term "grappa" is a protected geographical indication (PGI) in Italy. No other nation can use this designation, which is why France is called Eau de Vie.
