The Winery: Francesco Rosso, a graduate of the Alba Agricultural Technical Institute with a specialization in oenology and viticulture, follows in the footsteps of his predecessors, who dedicated their working lives to agriculture in the Roero region. Although Domenico Rosso, Francesco's father, had focused on fruit and vegetables during his career, Francesco's desire was to make viticulture his primary occupation. This choice was in keeping with the ideals of his grandfather Francesco, whose notebook, filled with his notes, is still present at the winery. This heirloom is deeply cherished by the family, whose pages carefully record seasonal trends and product prices, revealing the dedication that was already being paid to producing a fine Nebbiolo in the mid-20th century. His love of wine is a return to the past: with the restoration of old, abandoned vineyards and the planting of new ones, the winemaking business has expanded to the market with a diversified wine production. The company also grows and sells fruit and vegetables: strawberries, peppers, and the round, gentle Langhe hazelnut. The aim is to offer healthy, authentic foods and encourage people to rediscover products grown naturally and healthily, following in the footsteps of their predecessors.
