CAMBALACHE
An Alternative Model of Sharing and Welcoming.
Since 2011, Cambalache has been at the forefront of welcoming and assisting asylum seekers and holders of international protection. Aiming to create pathways of effective inclusion, Cambalache focuses on the training of those assisted, through professionalization, retraining and growth paths, with attention to orientation on the world of work, active citizenship and learning Italian. To enhance the social impact of reception, it promotes volunteer pathways, training activities for operators and citizen awareness activities.
GALEOTTI DI VOCI ERRANTI
The Cooperative runs a Biscuit Factory inside Saluzzo Prison to provide training and work opportunities for inmates. Inmates involved in the Project have the chance to learn a trade, prepare for future social reintegration, and promote an economy attentive to people and relationships. Galley cookies are bridges between prison reality and outside society, the results of a path in which, through work, the person can recover his or her dignity. Prepared with local ingredients from the Saluzzo area, they have the flavor of a homemade cookie and the fragrance of freedom.
