Pairings: Excellent wine to accompany intensely flavored dishes, such as first courses with meat sauce or dishes based on tender and juicy meat.

The Cellar: Gaja has established itself throughout the world, shaping not only Barbaresco and Nebbiolo wines, but the entire wine market of recent decades. The Gaja winery, located in the historic center of Barbaresco, produces red wines that have become a cult for enthusiasts. These wines display supreme class and unique longevity, combining tradition and modernity like no other. Every sip reveals the innate elegance of these bottles. Thanks to the family and cohesive management of the company, Gaja wines have become a legend, so much so that the 1985 Barbaresco Gaja has been defined as the best wine ever produced in Italy. The Gaja estate was founded in Barbaresco in 1859, its great success is due above all to the intuitions and tenacity of Angelo Gaja. Convinced of the value of the Piedmontese territory and the quality of its wines, Gaja has decided to aim for the highest levels, taking care of every detail of production. The great wines of Gaja are born from a profound knowledge of the territory, from a careful selection of the best parcels and from careful and meticulous management of the vineyards, which involves a drastic reduction in yields to obtain greater intensity and aromatic concentration.
