Cellar master René-Luc Chabasse has developed and selected a range of truly exceptional spirits to create this extra special blend. Aged for a minimum of ten years, Chabasse XO Exception Cognac displays a richness and complexity of aromas similar to a fine perfume. For this limited edition blend, René-Luc selected the spirits for their richness and complexity of aroma, seeking in particular a clear expression of the ration. All of his limited editions are creations for small quantities, not for mass production. With the characteristics of a very old Cognac, this XO is also remarkably reasonably priced.

Tasting Notes: Bouquet of berries and flowers, hawthorn and iris, are briefly followed by hazelnut and rancio, revealing the age of this Cognac. From the palate, the flowers slowly transform into sweet tobacco leaves and vanilla. Rich spices and forest floor create a ripe palate, leading to a prolonged finish.

The Distillery: Deep within Saint-Jean d'Angely lies the historic Chabasse cognac estate, dating back to the 17th century. This family-run business is today in the capable hands of Réné-Luc Chabasse, ancestor of the founder of the family estate, Jean-Baptiste Chabasse. Chabasse Cognac is appreciated all over the world and today the house enjoys making the most of both tradition and contemporaneity, as demonstrated by the surprising shapes and designs of the bottles in which the cognacs are presented.
