Cognac Louis XIII - Remy Martin
The Rémy Martin Louis XIII is truly a special bottle of Cognac. Revered throughout the world, it is a showcase of all that is great about this illustrious house of Cognac. This Cognac is created with over 1,200 different eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne terroir, some of which are more than a century old. Like Cognac Hors d'Age, Louis 13 is usually aged between an incredible 40 and 100 years. Matured in Limousin oak barrels, the unrivaled blend of grapes comes from the region's first crus. The beautiful exchange between wood and spirit depends on the age of the barrel. Depending on the age of the oak and the speed of the oxidation process, Louis XIII is formed in a very particular way. Everything in this Cognac is a work of art. The decanter is crafted from Baccarat crystal and will undoubtedly be the shining star of your collection. The flask's design is based on that found at the site of the Battle of Jarnac, which occurred in 1569. The combination of its antique Baccarat glass decanter, dating back to the 16th century, and its earth blending process, which began in 1874, makes Cognac complex and highly reputed. It is sure to last well into the future. If you want to follow in the illustrious footsteps of Louis XIII fans, Winston Churchill celebrated his election victory with this Cognac in 1951, and Queen Elizabeth II served it during her visit to the Palace of Versailles (near Paris, France) in 1957.
