Champagne AOC Cuvée Brut Lipstick - Piper Heidsieck
A bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne presented in a lipstick-shaped insulated case. Piper-Heidsieck's Cuvée Brut Champagne is the result of a blend of classic Champagne varietals, primarily Pinot Noir from over 100 crus across the appellation, and Pinot Meunier from the Grande and Petit Montagne de Reims. The cuvée is rounded out with a significant percentage of reserve wines. The wine ages on the lees for at least 24 months.

Tasting Notes: A classic, full-bodied, and above all fruity champagne. It has a pale gold color. On the nose, notes of fresh fruit, hints of citrus, a finish of fresh grapes, and a touch of anise. Full-bodied and well-structured on the palate, with citrus and grapefruit aromas. Good palate, harmonious balance.
Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with oysters and shellfish. Try it with fresh cheeses and fruit desserts.
The Cellar: Piper-Heidsieck, founded way back in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, is one of the oldest Champagne houses in the world. After founding Heidsieck & Cie, Florens pursued a dream: creating a special cuvée for Marie Antoinette, Queen of France. Having realized this ambition, the Champagne in question was so appreciated by the queen that she decided to become the first ambassador for Heidsieck Champagne. Over the following years, the House's success gradually consolidated, and its products soon became a must-have for many Hollywood actors, most notably Marilyn Monroe. Today, Piper-Heidsieck, after having graced the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars with its Champagnes, and after having established links with the world of fashion and luxury, is part of the EPI industrial group, headed by Christopher Descours. Among its vineyards and those of its suppliers, the most characteristic varieties of the Champagne terroir are cultivated: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. The vines, which grow within qualitatively important parcels and crus, are carefully monitored to consistently produce excellent grapes. In the cellar, where the various products are blended, the distinctive identity of each Champagne is literally brought to life. After more than two centuries of history, Piper-Heidsieck Champagnes remain the most famous in the world; this reputation is undoubtedly also thanks to Chef de Cave Regis Camus, who, since 2002, has been awarded Best Chef de Cave of the Year by the International Wine Challenge eight times. Piper-Heidsieck currently produces more than 6 million bottles annually; although all are extremely prestigious, crafted with great attention to consistency and quality, among the many, the Cuvée Rares certainly deserve a mention: true masterpieces, produced only in the finest vintages and, unfortunately, in very small quantities.
